After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing with English speaking guide to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Syambhunath and Boudhanath.
Kathmandu Durbar Square is world heritage site where you will see the Taleju Temple, built by King MahendraMalla in 1549 A.D.; Kal Bhairav, the God of destruction; Nautale Durbar; Nasal Chowk; GaddiBaithak; the statue of King Pratap Malla and the Jagannath. In the same site you will also visit the living goddess Kumari and Hanuman Dhoka.
Swayambhunath is one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist chaityas. It is said to be 2000 years old. Painted on the four sides of the spire base are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is a famous world heritage site with a magnificent view of Kathmandu valley.
Next you will visit Pashupatinath, situated 5 km east of Kathmandu. The temple of Lord Shiva, Pathupatinath with its two-tiered golden roof and silver doors is considered one of the holiest Hindu shrines.
You will then visit Boudhanath, which lies 3 km east of Pashupati. This ancient colossal Buddhist stupa is one of the biggest in the world. It was listed as a UNESCO Heritage Monument in 1979.
Early morning after breakfast at 7:30 am we start our drive (Approx 6 hours’ drive – 200 km) to Pokhara. Upon arrival, check in hotel, freshen up. Evening time is free to stroll around lake side.
Early in the morning drive for about 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach Nayapul (1030m) and then commence hike towards the Ulleri (1960m) for about 6-7 hours covering the distance of 8 miles. The trail first slowly and steadily climbs to Birethanti and then ascends towards the Ulleri, which is the stop point of the day.
After the early breakfast, start the trek leaving behind the Ulleri and getting closer to the wonderful Ghorepani (2875m). It takes about 6 hours to reach the Ghorepani from Ulleri and covers the distance of 7.2 miles. En-route enjoys some great mountain panorama towards the north. After a few hours of trekking, the trail leads to rhododendron and oak forests and finally reaches Ghorepani.
Early in the morning hike towards the Poonhill for about an hour to witness the mesmerizing sunrise view along with the spectacular view of beautiful mountains in the world including Annapurna South, Machhapuchchhre, Himalchuli among others. After getting the panoramic view from the Poonhill trek down to the Nayapul for about 7 hours via same route, then finally drive back to Pokhara.
Wake up early morning finish your breakfast. We will meet at the hotel lobby Arround 10 am and proceed for Pokhara sightseeing tour covering David’s Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Bindabasini Temple, Seti Goerge and Tibetan Refugee Camp.
David’s Fall Locally known as PataleChhango, Devid’s Fall (also known as Devil’s, Devin’s or David’s) is an awesome waterfall lying about 2 km south-west of Pokhara airport on the highway to Tansen. Legend has it that a trekker (Devin, David…) was washed away by the PardiKhola and disappeared down into an underground passage beneath the fall.
Gupteswar Cave is a sacred cave located near Devi’s Fall. The cave is almost 3 km long. It has some big hall-size rooms and some passages. This cave holds special value for Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered and taking pictures inside the cave is prohibited.
Bindabasini Temple is the center of religious activity in the old bazaar. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati, yet another manifestation of Shakti. The park-like grounds offer a fine picnic area, and on Saturdays and Tuesdays when devotees flock there to offer sacrifices, take on a festive local flavor.
Seti Gorge Flowing right through the city, the boisterous river runs completely underground at places. Amazingly, at certain points the river appears hardly two meters wide. But its depth is quite beyond imagination – over 20 meters! MahendraPul, a small bridge near the old Mission Hospital, provides a perfect view of the river’s dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by its powerful flow.
Tibetitan refugee camp is one of the official Tibetan settlement camps in the city of Pokhara is a small world in itself. These refugee camps were built for the thousands of Tibetan refugees that came to settle in Nepal after the Chinese takeover. They sell beautiful handmade jewelry, trinkets, carving and carpets for the visitors to showcase the beauties of Tibet. This is a popular place where tourists come to buy souvenirs.
After sightseeing return back to Hotel and have your lunch. Evening time and enjoy 1 hrs boating in Fewa Lake.
Day free. You can do some activities like Shopping, Helicopter, Ultra light, Paragliding, Hot Air Balloon etc, on your own.
After breakfast you will start your drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check in hotel, freshen up.
Evening time is free for you to stroll around Thamel on your own.
After breakfast we will check out from the hotel and you will be transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport to board your return flight.
