The Mardi Himal trek is known for its stunning natural beauty breathtaking views and its picturesque views of surroundings. The trekking trails takes you through charming village terraced fields, alpine meadows, diverse landscapes including lush rhododendron and oak forest. Here you get to experience mesmerizing views of snow—capped peaks, deep valley and waterfalls.

Mardi Himal base camp is located at altitude of 4,500 meters above from the sea level where you can witness breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna ranges i.e., Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Machhapuchre and Mardi Himal is your ultimate highlight of the trek.

During this trek you will get opportunity to experience the unique culture and traditions of local communities. Passing through several Gurung and Magar village, you will interact with friendly locals, visit traditional houses and explore their way of life. You may get to see cultural performance taste local cuisine and learn about their rich cultural heritage.

As Mardi Himal trek is relatively less crowded compare to other popular trekking route like Annapurna Circuit, you can enjoy a quieter and more peaceful trekking experience where you will get a chance to immerse yourself in nature without hustle and bustle of large tourist group. This trekking trail makes find solitude and truly large appreciate the tranquility of the mountains.

Mardi Himal Trek is one of the challenging and tough but beautiful 4-5 Days trekking tours. The breathtaking scenery of the snowcapped Annapurna Mountain Region would be your lifetime experience. It is not a well-known trekking program in comparison to Everest Base Camp (EBC) trekking because this route is newly opened and unexplored off the beaten track.

This trekking route covers a total of 41 km distance which requires a TIMS card and Annapurna Sanctuary permit to trek. There are mainly three initial points to start the trek i.e

  • Kande
  • Ghandruk
  • Landruk

There are two finishing points of the Mardi Himal Trek i.e

  • Siding 
  • Landruk

In this program, we’ll hike till Mardi Himal Base Camp 4500 meters (Most highest point of the trek).

Day 02 :
Pitan Deurali - Forest Camp - Rest Camp - Low Camp (2985m) | 7-8 hrs.
Day 03 :
Low Camp - High Camp (3550m) | 4 hrs
Day 04 :
High Camp - Mardi Himal Base Camp - Badal Danda (2985m) | 5-6 hrs
Day 05 :
Badal Danda - Siding - Pokhara (830m) | 7 hrs.

Day 1
Pokhara - Australian Base Camp - Deurali (2100m) | 4-5 hrs.

Once ready, you’ll will meet your driver, guide & porter and drive to Kande. Our today’s trekking is set to Pitan Deurali.

We’ll start our trekking from Pothana (1950m), where there is ACAP / TIM’s checkpoint. Then we’ll move towards the Australian Base Camp (2060m), which is also one of the best trekking destinations. After 4-5 hours of walk we’ll reach to Pitan Deurali, (2100m). We’ll relax and have overnight at Pitan Deurali.

Day 2
Pitan Deurali - Forest Camp - Rest Camp - Low Camp (2985m) | 7-8 hrs.

After breakfast we’ll trek from Pitan Deurali (2100m) to Low Camp(2985m). After about 4 hours of walking from Pitan Deurali, Forest Camp (2600m) is the best destination for launch so, we’ll stop there and have a launch over there in the tea house.

Then we’ll hike towards Low Camp via the route of Rest Camp. The trekking duration of the day will be around 7-8 hours, Pitan Deurali to Low Camp trekking distance is 11.4 km. After reaching to Low Camp we’ll enjoy the dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3
Low Camp - High Camp (3550m) | 4 hrs

After breakfast we’ll start our hiking towards High Camp (3550m) from Low Camp (2985m).

You can get the spectacular view of Mount Annapurna South on your left side and Mount Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail) ahead of your eye. After the 4 hours of walking we’ll arrive to High Camp. We’ll enjoy dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 4
High Camp - Mardi Himal Base Camp - Badal Danda (2985m) | 5-6 hrs

After breakfast we’ll start to hike towards our final destination Mardi Himal Base Camp which is situated at the elevation of 4500m above the sea level. This is the very interesting round journey which takes upto 5 hours to reach on the Mardi Himal Base Camp from High Camp.

After enjoying the magnificent view from Mardi Himal Base Camp, we’ll have our launch at local restaurant over there. Now our trek down returning journey starts, we’ll trek to Badal Danda(2985m) and overnight in lodge.

Day 5
Badal Danda - Siding - Pokhara (830m) | 7 hrs.

You’re going to get a very beautiful morning view from Badal Danda. After breakfast we move towards Siding. The trekking estimated duration from Badal Danda to Siding is around 4-5 hrs. We’ll drive through Siding to Pokhara which may takes upto 3 hrs drive.
