Ghorepani – Poonhill Trek

Ghorepani – Poonhill Trek is one of the best walk-on this planet earth. We’ll start trekking from Nayapul 1070 meters above sea level. We approach different places of hypnotic attraction throughout the exploration. We’ll hike to the elevation of 2874 meters above sea level where Ghorepani is situated.

The difficulty level of this trekking is moderate. One can get the best view from steep terrain, high elevation, and some basic facilities. The appropriate month/time of the trekking is categorized in two different categories, pre-monsoon where one can trek in the month of February, March, April, and May. Similarly, another category is the post-monsoon category in which one can trek in the month of October, November, and December.

Day 1
Kathmandu Arrival (1400m)

Arrive at Kathmandu Tribhuwan Int’l airport, after immigration formalities and luggage collection you will be welcomed by our representative in the arrival terminal and transfer to Hotel.

After reaching to hotel you will be checked-in. Later in the evening introduction session and itinerary briefing with trekking guide.

Day 2
Kathmandu - Pokhara - Nayapul - Tikhedunga (1540 m) 4 -5hrs

Early morning we leave Kathmandu after breakfast. Transfer to domestic airport to board on to the first flight to Pokhara scheduled at 7 am approx. Kathmandu to Pokhara is just 25 minutes flight. Arrive Pokhara and transfer to Nayapul

After the sensation of the view trekking guide will lead you to start the first day of trekking to Tikhedunga. Firstly, we’ll drive to Nayapul (approximately 1hrs 30 min) then we’ll start first day of trekking from Nayapul.

We will pass through the many localvillages, gentle green rolling hills, many teahouses, rivers etc. Along the way, we see the local people in their typical costumes. We also get the opportunity to feel the shake of the suspension bridge, comes after crossing the TikhedungaKhola (Sharp stoned river).

After TikhedungaKhola the upstairs trail begins about 3200 or more steps. Just after climbing the hill we can see the magnificent view of Mt. Annapurna south (7219 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m).

Day 3
Tikhedunga - Ulleri - Nangethanti - Ghorepani (2874 m) 6-7 hrs.

Early in the morning, we’ll have breakfast and start our trek. Today we’ve to walk 2874 mi.eascending right through Ulleri to Ghorepani

On the way, we can see beautiful Rhododendron forest. Today we’ll walk all the way in jungle so you’ll get chance to explore the natural flora and fauna of entire way in jungle.

After 6 to 7 hours of walking we reach to Ghorepani. The destination for today’s trekking program. We’ll take some rest and then enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4
Ghorepani - Poonhill - Tadapani (2610 m) 5-6 hrs

Early morning hike to Poonhill for sunrise view. We will walk around 1 hours (1.5 Km) to reach Poonhill. Enjoy sunrise and beautiful view of Himalayan ranges from Poonhill

Poonhill is situated at the actual elevation of (3210 m) above the sea level. We’ll see the splendid and perpetual sunrise and magnificent view of the snowcapped mountains from Poonhill. Annapurna South, BahariShikhar, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri ranges, Tukuche peak, Annapurna I, II, III, IV, LamjungHimal, Mt.Manaslu ranges, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail)and many other mountains are the major attraction of Poonhill.

Later return to your Guest house, have breakfast and start our trek toward Tadapani. We will then hike approx. 4-5 hours to reach Tadapani. Arrive Tadapani in the late afternoon and relax in you guest house.

Day 5
Tadapani - Ghandruk - Nayapul - Pokhara (822 m) 5-6hrs

After breakfast we will trek toward Ghandruk, the famous Gurung village. It will be approx. 3-4 hours hike to Ghandruk. We will enjoy lunch in Ghandruk and continue our trek for another 1 – 2 hours and meet our driver. After approx. 3 hours’ drive arrive hotel and realx

Then we take the luxurious rest on the hotel and have overnight at Pokhara.

Day 6
Pokhara - Kathmandu (1400m)

After breakfast you’ll be transferred to Pokhara domestic Airport for Kathmandu Flight. Arrive Kathmandu and take PCR test. Afternoon free to stroll around and explore Kathmandu on your own.

Departure

After breakfast you’ll be transferred to TribhuwanInternatinal Airport to board your flight to Dhaka.

Daypack (rucksack)
