Dhulikhel Namo Buddha Panauti hike is one of the famous hiking trails close to Kathmandu Valley. This hike is perfect for the beginners. This whole hike goes through small road surrounded by hills of Kathmandu Valley. During this hike you will explore the local culture and old tradition still maintained by locals. Usually a person who wants to do Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Bas Camp and other difficult trekking, do this hike as a warm up.
Dhulikhel Namo Buddha Panauti hike starts with drive from your hotel to Dhulikhel. After having breakfast at your hotel you will meet your guide and driver and starts your drive for Dhulikhel which is located 35 Km far from the Kathmandu Valley. It takes approximately 2 hours of drive. After reaching at your first destination you can explore for a while and starts walking. Dhulikhel is a village close to Kathmandu Valley. It is used to be an important trade route between Kathmandu and Tibet. A complete panoramic view of the snowy ranges of Annapurna, Gaurishanker, Langtang and many more, with Newari settlements Dhulikhel itself is popular for its natural and historical reason. When Nepal wasn’t born, back in days, there used to be only small states. Each state has their vision to conquer another state and make them as one whole nation. As per the eyewitness, Gorkhali king Prithivi Narayan Shah faces lots of difficulties while capturing Dhulikhel which took more than six months to get victory.
Namo Buddha is an ancient and famous Buddhist monastery which is popular among Nepalese Buddhist. It is located at 40 KM far from Kathmandu Valley. The monastery acts as a school for the novice monks, which is surrounded by Tamang statements. Namo Buddha is also famous for meditation. It is said that a special Buddhist legend of king Mahasattava offers his body to a hungry tigress at the Namo Buddha. Because of his offering makes the place a holy site for Buddhist.
Panauti is also known as the most artistic town in Nepal after Kathmandu Valley which is full of Buddhist and Hindu religious monuments. It is situated at 32 KM far from Kathmandu Valley. Panauti offers a breathtaking panoramic view of ancient cultural and historical place. Panauti will be the ending point for the Dhulikhel Namo Buddha Panauti hike.

Early morning you will have your2 breakfast at your hotel. After meeting your guide and driver for the hike you will start your approximately 2 hours drive for Dhulikhel. After reaching Dhulikhel you can explore Dhulikhel. Crossing Newari settlement surrounded by Himalaya’s ranges after walking for approximately 4 hours you will reach Namo Buddha.
After reaching Namo Buddha you can take short break. You can enjoy your lunch at Namo Buddha after exploring the monastery.
After your lunch you will start walking for your next destination Panauti. It is approximately 4 hours of walking to reach Panauti from Namo Buddha. You will pass through Tamang settlement surrounded by woodland.
After exploring Panauti you will finish your hike and drive back to your hotel.
