Day 1

Kathmandu To Pokhara By Flight, Matkyu To Chhomrong

Flight hours	25 Minutes

Early morning you will take a flight to Pokhara at 7:25 am, which takes only 25 minutes. On arrival meet your guide and drive and proceed to Matkyu by private Scorpio Jeep. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach Matyu. Arriving at Matkyu you will take short break and starts hiking for your today’s destination Chhomrong.

Matkyu is the starting point for the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking. Matkyu village is situated at an elevation of aroung 2,500 m/ 8,200 ft. and lies along the Modi Khola. From Matkyu trails continues uphill, passing through dense forest of bamboo and Rhodendron. On the way you will cross beautiful village Sinuwa, crossing suspension bridge you will continue trekking through a lush forest. Late evening you will reach Chhomrong and free to explore surrounding.

Day 2

Chhomrong To Dovan

After breakfast you will proceed to Dovan. Todays you will be walking approximately 5-6 hours. Chhomrong is a beautiful village with stunning view of surrounding mountain. The trails descends through stone steps to cross the Chhomrong Khola and ascends to several small streams and waterfalls along the way. The trails from Chhomrong to Dovan is considered most scenic part of Annapurna Base Camp trekking. Late afternoon you will reach Dovan, a narrow valley which serves basic accommodation for trekkers.

Day 3

Dovan To Machhapuchhre Base Camp

From Dovan To Macchapuchre Base Camp trekking trails continues along with the Modi Khola. As you hike higher the scenery becomes more dramatic with steep cliffs icy slope and breathtaking views of surrounding peaks. On the way you will take short break at Deurali, small but beautiful village where you can see local people and their local culture. As you cross Deurali you will pass through Hinku Cave. Hinku Cave is a massive parallelogram shaped over hanging rock. In old days travelers uses this cave as their shelter during their trek as there were not more options for tea house. After reaching at Machhapuchre Base camp you can enjoy the splendid view as the base camp offers views of Machhapuchre (fishtail) mountains and surrounding peaks.

Day 4

Machhapurchhre Base Camp To Annapurna Base Camp

Now, we can move towards Annapurna Base Camp. We should walk 2-3 hours to reach to Annapurna Base Camp. After reaching to ABC you will know why people do such exhausting walk to ABC. You can get the opportunity to view one of the World’s highest mountains where the flags are flapping with the same frequency of the breeze. Here, you’ll certainly get the Lifetime Experience in Annapurna Base Camp.

After enjoying the breath taking view of those mountains we can take some photo session and videography for the memories then, move to Lodge. If the weather says “Yes” then we’ll have the nice sunset from here.

Day 5

Annapurna Base Camp To Bamboo

Early in the morning, enjoy the breakfast with the very beautiful sunrise from Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). You can view Annapurna I, BarahiShikhar, Tent Peak, Annapurna South, Himchuli, andGandharvaChuli. Then we’ll start our returning journey and our first day of returning destination will be Bamboo.

We’ll proceed Bamboo by throughMachhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), Deurali, Hiamalyan, and Dovan. Our today’s trekking duration will be around 6-7 hours. Then we’ll stay at the lodge in Bamboo.

Day 6

Bamboo To Jhinu Danda

Early morning after breakfast, we’ll continue our journey to JhinuDanda. We can reach Jhinu Danda by crossing Sinuwa and Chhomrong. Our today’s trekking duration will be around 6-7 hours. After reaching at JhinuDanda you can get the opportunity to view Natural Hot Spring which is exactly located near the JhinuDanda in Madi River.

Then we’ll enjoy the dinner at Jhinu and rest on the lodge.

Day 7

Jhinu Danda To Matkyu To Pokhara

After breakfast trek towards Motkyu, which is approx. 6-7 hours hike. From Motkyu we will drive to Pokhara( 3hours drive). Arrive Pokhara and free to stroll around fewa lake.

Pokhara To Kathmandu

Early morning you can enjoy your breakfast at hotel and you will be transferred to tourist bus station as you will be returning Kathmandu by Bus with comfortable seats. Deluxe buses are usually more comfortable and equipped with amenities like air conditioning & reclining seats. By road it takes approximately 7-8 hours drive. Although road trip takes long you can enjoy views of Himalayan mountains, lush landscapes and rural countryside. you will be viewing stunning scenery along the way.

FAQS For Annapurna Base Camp Trek

We have mainly 3 options to go Pokhara from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Kathmandu. By road you can choose private vehicle Car and Tourist Bus which takes approximately 7-8 hours. Another option is by flight which takes only 25 minutes.

Private Car: You can hire private Vehicle depending on your group size Car/Van/Scorpio Jeep? Haice. By road it takes approximately 7-8 hours. This options offers more flexibility and comfort but it can be relatively more expensive than taking a bus.
By Tourist Bus: The tourist option is most common and affordable mode of transportation between Kathmandu and Pokhara. The regular bus service from Gongabu Bus park might be not that much comfortable for foreigner travelers. There is another options ‘Tourist Bus’ which offers air conditioning, reclining seats.
By Flight: For those who prefer quicker options, they can also take a domestic flight which takes only 25-30 minutes. Due to the weather conditions the flight may get delay for few hours.
