Day 1
KATHMANDU - PARO - THIMPHU (L/D)

It takes about 1 hrs 15 min (approx.) from Kathmandu to Paro by flight. Upon your arrival in Paro, fulfill the legal requirement of immigration department. Make the proper arrangement of you document and most importantly take a copy of Visa Clerance Letter standby. We’ll provide you the letter at the time before departure from Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu). Your personal vehicle driver and our representative will be at airport (in front of terminal building) to welcome you in the traditional Bhutanese culture. After meeting them you’ll be proceed towards Thimphu (Capital city of Bhutan). Along the way you can view the traditional building built in typical Bhutanese architecture. You can stroll around Thimphu on your own if the time is permitted.

Day 2
THIMPHU - PUNAKHA (B/L/D)

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed for morning sightseeing covering Traditional school of arts & craft, Taschicho Dzong and Mini Zoo. Then you’ll proceed to Punakha Dzong. After the second quarter of second day you’ll visit Chime Lhakhang.

Traditional school of arts & craft:

This traditional school of arts & craft was created by Dasho Choki Dorji in order to make the children skillful who were unable to attend primary level study. The school aims to promote the Bhutanese culture through their student’s native arts and culture. Based on the abilities and interest this school facilitates students to learn the craft of wood carving, embroidery, tailoring and weaving. Here, you can view the arts and crafts by the students and from other people interested in arts and culture of Bhutan.

Taschicho Dzong:

Taschicho Dzong is one of the best Buddhist monastery and fortress situated at the northern edge of Thimphu city. It was built by the first Dharma raja in the structure of two-storied white washed building along with three-storied towers at each of the four corners. You can visit this monastery at any time.

Tsechu festival is the major attraction of the Taschicho Dzong. This festival is celebrated at each monastery of Dzongkhas on the 10th day of the month of the lunar Tibetan calendar. If you plan to celebrate this festival in Bhutan then you can enjoy the great hospitality and tshechus’ Cham dances.

Mini Zoo (Motithang Takin Preserve):

This is originally established as mini-zoo located a short distance off the road to the telecom tower. Takin (Budorcas taxicolor) is the National animal of Bhutan which seems as mixed of cow from back and goat from front. The Takin Sanctuary is established to preserve the Takin.

Punakha Dzong:

Punakha Dzong building is the administrative center of Punakha district. It is also know as Pungthang Dewa chhenbi Phodrang and was constructed around 1637-38 AD by Ngawang Namgyal.

It is popularly known for the crowd in the five day festival Domche falls in February and March of the Anno Domini (AD) calendar. You shouldn’t miss the last day of the cultural dance celebrated at the fifth day if you plan to travel Bhutan for the celebration of this festival.

Day 3
PUNAKHA - WANGDUE– PARO (B/L/D)

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed to Chimi Lakhang and Punakha valley. After visiting these two places you’ll proceed back to Thimphu by private vehicle via Douchula Pass and continue to Paro.

Chimi Lakhang:

Chimi Lakhang is the last monastery of Punkaha district you’ll visit. It was built on 1449 by Drukpa hierarch, Ngawang Choegyel. The maverick saint named Drukpa Kunley built a chorten on the site around 15th centuries. It is built under Bhutanese architecture. This is one of the attractive monastery in Punkaha district that worth a lot to visit.

Dochula Pass:

Dochula Pass is the snow-capped mountain way that connects Punakha and Paro districts. Along the way there is 108 chortens or stupa. One can also get the opportunity to view the 47 km2 Royal Botanical Park where Rhododendron garden lies. If you visit this park any month of winter and spring season you can easily watch different colors of Rhododendron blooming in front of your eyes.

Day 4
PARO (B/L/D)

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed hiking for the most-awaited Tiger’s Nest Monastery (approx. 4 hrs). After the hike, you may also visit Kichu Lakhang, National Museum, and the farmhouse if there will be sufficient time to cover these two destinations. In case we run out of time, we will unable to visit Kichu Lakhang, National Museum and the farmhouse.

Tiger’s Nest Monastery:

Tiger’s Nest Monastery is also known as Taktsang Pallug Monastery and is scared Vajrayana Buddhist monastery situated just above the upper Paro valley. It was discovered as a meditation cave in early 9th century but the current structure of the monastery is constructed in 1962 AD. This monastery is very beautiful and famous for tourist. This monastery design and structure upper the stone is too much awesome than our imagination.

Day 5
PARO - Kathmandu (B)

This is the last day of 5 Days 4 Nights Bhutan Tour Package. You took the happiest memories from the land of thunder dragon at this day. On this day after having early breakfast, you’ll proceed to Airport by private vehicle to catch the flight to Kathmandu. The departure from Bhutan will be the official end of this package for you.
