Overview

Annapurna Circuit is a Trek route in central Nepal with the mountain range. The total length of this Annapurna Circuit Trek covers 160-230 Km. The hallmark of this trekking program are dramatic deep gorges, Buddhist and Hindus temples, delightful picturesque of cultivated farms, fantastic hill station view point and magnificent view of Annapurna summit. Through this trip discover the ancestral culture and tradition of local people in the elevation of 5,500m above the sea level. This is moderate grade challenging trek.

Annapurna Circuit is publicly opened for foreign trekkers in 1977 AD. Generally, Himalayan region cannot be trekked in wet winter, but much of the areas of Annapurna region sit in the shadow of rain. This means it is possible and practical to trek Annapurna in a rainy season.

The starting and ending point of this Annapurna circuit trek is Kathmandu-Kathmandu. As we’ve mentioned above this is adventurous moderate challenging grade of trekking. Travelers can experience this trek in the autumn and in spring. Trekkers can ascend up to 5,416m of altitude. Vehicle and flight both are included transportation service in this program. At least 4-6 hrs of daily activities should be done per day. The nature of this trek is Lodge to Lodge. The required permits to do this trekking are TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) & ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project).

Day 01 | Arrival to Kathmandu | (1,400m)

Arrive to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Go through the legal formalities of Immegration department. Our representative will be in front of terminal building to welcome you. After meeting our representative at Airport you’ll be dropped to the hotel. After check-in to hotel, meet the tour guide and he/she will start the tour briefing. After that in a remaining free time you can stroll around on your own.

Day 02 | Kathmandu – Beshisahar – Ngadi | (1,400m) | 3 hours

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed to Beshisahar (approx. 5 and half hour of drive). After having lunch at Beshisahar you’ll start your trekking journey to Ngadi. At beginning the trekking trail leads downstream but after passing some distance the trail eventually starts to ascend of rocky steps. You will experience the shake of suspension bridge at Khudi khola and arrives to Bulbule.Walking little distance you’ll left Bulbule.
After crossing to Bulbule you’ll see some of the teashops and cold drinks stall just behind the cultivated land of paddies of Lampata. Little walks from Lampata will lead you to Bahundanda (Hill of Bhramins). You’ll clearly see the emerged Annapurna I (8,091m) mountain (World’s 10th highest mountain) from Bahundanda. Along with Annapurna I you’ll also clearly figure out the sister mountains from any viewpoints of the area. Later you’ll trek for Ngadi. Along the way you’ll see the native culture and tradition of the local people. You’ll also get the joyful sceneries of the yak gazing at the pasture, waterfalls of glaciers, icy rivers and many more.

Day 03 | Ngadi – Chamje | (1400m – 1,430m) | 6 hours

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed to Chamje. Distance between Ngadi and Chamje is 18 km (approx.). The trail form Ngadi to Chamje is slight uphill. Along the way, you’ll pass the mesmerizing waterfall, sub-tropical forest, cross suspension bridge, and the raging rivers. Each with the different ancestral customs and tradition, you’ll experience isolated mountain communities over the next ten days.

Day 04 | Chamje – Dharapani | (1,430m – 2,100m) | 7 hours

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed for Dharapani. The trail for today will be ascending heading forward to the mesmerizing scene of mountains from Manang district. The way is deep wooden canyon with the beautiful waterfalls. From today the elevation starts to increase very fast. The initial elevation of Chamje is 1,430m and you’ll ascend up to 2,100m. The trek duration will be approximately 7 hours.

Day 05 | Dharapani – Chame | (2,100m – 2,710m) | 6 hours

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed to Chame by making the end at great Marshyangdi gorge. You will ascend towards the place named Timang. Now, the trail starts to descend slightly. You’ll reach the district headquater of Manang districe Chame, a biggest and largest settlements after Beshisahar. Chame is situated at the elevation of 2,710m which is 610m above from Dharapani. The trek duration will be approximately 6 hours for today.

Day 06 | Chame – Pisang | (2,710m – 3,300m) | 6 hours

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed towards Pisang. Today’s trekking is going to be the easiest throughout the entire program. You’ll be astounded to see breathtaking scenery of great sweeping slope of Pungi Danda. The trekking trail between Chame and Pisang is little bit ups and downs with maximum plain lands. The trek duration will for today will be approximately 6 hours.

Day 07 | Pisang – Manang | (3,300m – 3,540m) | 6 hours

After early breakfast, you’ll start to proceed Manang through the northern trekking trail via upper Pisang and Ghyaru. These are the area which is known for the spectacular view. Nowadays these both areas are dried. Along the way you’ll see the farmer gazing the Tibetan Yak’s. One tips for you during this day is It is better to have the dress except red colored because the Tibetan Yak gives more attention to the color. The trek durarion for today will be approximately 6 hours.

Day 08 | Manang - Acclimatization Day

Acclimatize and spend the day by exploring the local village from where you can see majestic mountains Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna and Chulu East. Later return to lower Manang for overnight.

Day 09 | Manang –Yak Kharka | (3,540m – 4,018m) | 5 hours

After early breakfast, you’ll start your trekking journey towards Yak Kharka. The distance between Manang and Yak Kharka is about 7 Km and it takes to 5 hours of trekking today to reach the destination. The way is steady uphill into the alpine region of mountain range. Along the way you’ll see the mountain vista and hypnotic mountainous sceneries.

Day 10 | Yak Kharka – Phedi | (4,018m – 4,450m) | 5 hours

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed to Phedi. The elevation of Yak Kharka is 4,018m so, you should lower your pace toeards upcoming destination. The high altitude is not recommend to do trekking in hard and fast rule. You can freely trek to this region. You can acclimatize yourself today to trek for Thorong La Pass, The higher elevation that Annapurna region Explorer can experience. You’ll trek for approximately 5 hours in this day.

Day 11 | Phedi – Muktinath | (4,450m – 3,800m) | 8-9 hours

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed towards Muktinath. Firstly you’ll cross Thorung La Pass (5416m), through the steep easy to follow trail. After ascending for 4-6 hrs you’ll reach to the top of Thorung La Pass’s Peak. There you’ll see traditional stupa (chorten), prayer’s flag, and stones structures made by the travelers. Stop and view the sceneries from the highest point (5461m).
Later you’ll proceed to Muktinath pilgrimage temple. The way towards Muktinath from Pass’s highest point is steeply descending to Chabarbu. After reaching to Chabarbu you’ll walk about an hour to reach Muktinath. Today your trekking duration will be approximately 8-9 hours.

Day 12 | Muktinath – Jomsom | (3,800m – 2,800m) | 5 hours

After early breakfast, You’ll proceed to Jomsom. This trekking trail passes nearby village settlements. Along the way, you’ll see the local people living in traditional style. You can pass through the ancient village name Purang. At the mid-way you’ll reach Jhong. Jhong is also a small village like Purang. From Jhong the hiking trail starts to descend down towards the river named Jhing Khola. You can see the panoramic view of emerging Kagbeni (attracted tourist spot near Muktinath). Today your trekking duration will be approximately 5 hours.

Day 13 | Jomsom – Pokhara | (2,800m – 822m)

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed to Pokhara by early flight (approx. 10 minutes flight). Upon arrival at Pokhara, meet our representative at Pokhara Airport. Then you’ll be proceed to hotel. On this day you can relax and take rest. The day is free for you. You can stroll around lakeside on your own.

Day 14 | Pokhara – Kathmandu | (822m – 1,400m)

After early breakfast, you’ll proceed to Kathmandu by early flight (approx. 25 min). Upon your arrival to Domestic airport our representative will meet you at airport terminal and transferred you to hotel. Today, the whole day is free for you; you can explore Kathmandu on your own or can plan an optional short heli or Mountain Flight tour.

Day 15 | Kathmandu – Departure

After early breakfast, you’ll be free before the time of check-out from hotel. Later on, you’ll be transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to catch your return flight to your country.
