Langtang Region Trekking

Langtang region is dominated by the Langtang Himalayan Range to the altitude of 5,520m. The major attraction of this region is Bamboo and Rhododendron forest, waterfalls, panoramic mountain views, challenging trekking trails, and typical culture of the local people. This region is credited for the hosting of Langtang National Park (Area: 1,710 sq. km.). There are 13 measured (above 5,000m to 7,234m) mountains lies in this Langtang Himalayan Range. The scared Hindus religious Lake complex Gosainkunda is also situated in the same region. The source of Trishuli river is also GosainKunda. Trishuli River is worldwide popular for the water sports like rafting, canning, Kayaking etc. Kyanjin Gompa (a Buddhist monastery/Chorten) is popular monastery in this region.

Unlike other destinations, this region is not suitable for particular seasons only. Autumn season is perfect for the trekkers and travelers. Spring season adds hypnotic beauty of the forest as the rhododendron forest starts to bloom. Along with the Rhododendron, other wildflowers are also the major attraction during this season. Both seasons are joyful seasons in this region with dry surroundings and stable weather. The daytime temperature of the Langtang Region during spring season are  10°C-20°C. Likewise daytime temperatures of the Langtang Region during the autumn season are  also 10°C-20°C and the daytime temperature of the Langtang Region during winter season, and summer season are respectively 6°C-9°C and 12.1°C-30°C.

The weather of trekking route is quite different. The initial point and bit higher places weather are almost stable but when the ascending starts then the weather gradually starts to change. The highest point of this trekking route is Kyanjin Gompa which is just below the Langtang range so, the weather over there continuously fluctuates. Trekkers must have to be updated on the weather condition.
